Support for health professionals

Healthcare professionals copy.png

One of the greatest joys of my NHS career was working alongside such a talented and diverse group of professionals. I particularly loved delivering training to share my knowledge of autism and AuDHD.

If your service could benefit from training, supervision or coaching, but you don’t see exactly what you need in the menu below, please get in touch, I’m happy to discuss bespoke packages.

Fees reflect my level of experience, expertise and specialism. Discounts are available for block bookings (e.g. more than one training sessions booked at once) or for where more than one staff member is seen in the same trust (e.g. for NQT training, or coaching).

I am particularly excited to introduce my new package for newly qualified speech and language therapists, and coaching for neurodivergent health professionals.

If you are not sure what support would work best for you, book a free 30 minute consultation and we can discuss how NeuroNurtured can best support you.

Newly Qualified SLTs

Starting your first job as a speech and language therapist is excited, but also a bit terrifying too. Most paediatric SLTs will work with autistic children and young people in their careers, but not all of them will have had a lot of prequalification experience.

Targeted, autism-specific training and supervision can make a significant difference to confidence, quality of provision, and the pressure experienced by both newly qualified therapists and senior clinicians. This year long package is designed to smooth the transition to the first year of practice, whilst ensuring that SLTs have someone to discuss any clinical concerns or questions they have as the year progresses.

The proposed package includes:

  • Three live online training sessions covering the SLT role and evidence-informed support across the SCERTS social, language, and conversational partner levels

  • Up to six individual supervision sessions per NQT, booked flexibly across the year, focusing on individual cases, school-based challenges, and autism-related clinical questions

Intended outcomes include:

  • Increased confidence and reduced imposter syndrome in Band 5 therapists

  • Improved consistency and quality of autism provision across teams

  • Reduced clinical uncertainty and earlier identification of risk

  • Reduced pressure on senior clinicians through targeted, preventative supervision

  • Improved retention of newly qualified staff

Neurodiversity in health care settings

With 18 years of experience, I provide training for schools, health professionals, and families. You can book a free consultation to discuss your training needs. Topics include supporting children who are Autistic, Able, and Anxious (Triple A), AuDHD in schools, an introduction to autism, bespoke sessions based on children I’ve worked with, and topic-specific areas such as communication, sensory needs, and information processing.

Sessions can be delivered online or in person.

The ideas below are just suggestions: I am always happy to create new sessions based on your requirements.

Sessions are typically £150 and last 1.5 hours, but this will be dependent on the content, delivery format, number of people etc.

I offer discounts to services that book multiple training sessions.

AuDHD: When Autism & ADHD collide

The training will follow a strengths-based approach for children and young people who are both autistic and ADHDers.

It recognises the unique interplay between these neurotypes, which can bring creativity, deep thinking, and passion, alongside challenges such as overwhelm, burnout, emotional dysregulation, challenges with time management, anxiety, and navigating relationships.

GPs

GPs are often the first people who parents will turn to when they are concerned about their child's development. In this session, I will talk about the key questions to ask, and what to look out for when a parent comes to you with concerns, but the child doesn't show any immediate signs of autism in the session.

Triple As: Autistic, Able & Anxious

This training is specifically targeted to help you to identify, support and advocate for children and young people who are autistic as well as cognitively able (and often anxious). These youngsters are often hard to spot and even harder to diagnose due to a tendency to mask and to internalise their worries and anxieties.

Health visitors

Another health professional who has a crucial role in early identification and diagnosis is the Health Visitor. This training will focus specifically on features that you may be able to recognise in very young children who are communicating well, and whose cognition is developing well, but who are also neurodivergent. We will also focus on ways to discuss this with families and when to make onward referrals.

Individual Coaching

Health professionals

Are you neurodivergent and working in a health professionals role? Or are you an adult who is starting to wonder about their own neurotype? Perhaps you have learnt about autism or ADHD through your clients, and it has made you wonder if you might be neurodivergent too?

Coaching for neurodivergent health professionals provides a confidential, supportive space to reflect, problem-solve, and develop strategies that work with your neurodivergence, not against it.

Coaching can support you to better understand your strengths and challenges, reduce overwhelm, and find practical ways to manage workload, communication, sensory demands, and the emotional load of clinical work. Sessions are collaborative and personalised, focusing on what matters most to you and what is realistic within your professional role.

This is not about “fixing” you or changing who you are. It is about building self-understanding, confidence, and sustainable ways to thrive in healthcare while protecting your wellbeing and professional identity.

Speech and Language Therapists

I offer professional supervision for speech and language therapists individually or in small groups, providing a supportive space to reflect on practice, discuss complex cases, and develop skills. With a clinical specialism in autism and AuDHD, sessions are tailored to help you feel confident, supported, and inspired in your work with neurodivergent children and young people.

Speech & language therapy

Speech and language therapy for autistic children supports them to understand and express themselves, build meaningful connections with others, and communicate in ways that feel right for them. It also helps reduce frustration and anxiety by finding practical, neuro-affirming ways for their voice to be heard.

Coaching

Coaching gives parents, neurodivergent teachers, and health professionals a supportive space to make sense of autism, build confidence, and develop practical strategies that genuinely work in everyday life. It focuses on understanding strengths and needs, reducing stress, and helping everyone feel more empowered and effective.
