Support for parents & families

The phrase "you can't pour from an empty cup" comes to mind as I write this page. There is nothing more important for your child than having a parent or carer who understands their neurodivergence, and who is feeling regulated enough to manage the challenges that this can bring. Putting time into yourself could be just what your child needs.

Fees reflect my level of experience, expertise and specialism. Discounts are available for block bookings (e.g. for coaching) or for where more than one child or staff member is seen at school.
Coaching

Parents and carers
Parent coaching is a supportive space where you can think things through, ask questions, and feel more confident about how to support your autistic child.

It helps parents better understand their child’s strengths, needs, and behaviours, and to develop practical strategies that fit their family and values. Coaching is collaborative and non-judgemental. There is no “one right way” and no pressure to change who your child is.

Parent coaching can support you to feel clearer, calmer, and more confident, whether you are navigating everyday challenges, school concerns, or simply want reassurance that you are doing the right things for your child.

Most importantly, it is a protected time and space for you to think clearly about moving forward as a family.

I offer coaching individually, or for 2-3 family members together.

Siblings
Sibling coaching is a gentle, supportive space for brothers and sisters of autistic children to talk, ask questions, and make sense of their experiences.
It helps siblings understand autism in a clear, age-appropriate way, explore their own thoughts and feelings, and develop strategies for everyday situations at home or school. Coaching gives them space to feel heard, including feelings that can be hard to share elsewhere, such as worry, frustration, pride, protectiveness or jealousy about the attention their sibling receives.
Sibling coaching is not therapy and it is not about placing responsibility on the sibling. Instead, it supports their wellbeing, builds understanding and confidence, and helps them feel valued as an individual, not just “the sibling of” an autistic child.

I draw on my professional experience as an SLT as well as my personal experience of supporting a neurodivergent daughter and her neurotypical brother at home.

Explaining neurodivergence
Understanding neurodivergence can feel confusing, especially with so much outdated or conflicting information. If you, or a family member such as a grandparent, are struggling to make sense of why autism or AuDHD has been mentioned in relation to your child, I can help. Through an informal discussion, I’ll explain what it all means and answer your questions in a clear, supportive way.

Speech & language therapy
Speech and language therapy for autistic children supports them to understand and express themselves, build meaningful connections with others, and communicate in ways that feel right for them. It also helps reduce frustration and anxiety by finding practical, neuro-affirming ways for their voice to be heard.

Coaching
Coaching gives parents, neurodivergent teachers, and health professionals a supportive space to make sense of autism, build confidence, and develop practical strategies that genuinely work in everyday life. It focuses on understanding strengths and needs, reducing stress, and helping everyone feel more empowered and effective.
