Commitment to Safeguarding

NeuroNurtured is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The safety, wellbeing and dignity of the children and families we work with are central to all aspects of our practice.

 

Professional Background

Services are delivered by Helen Cooke, a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with extensive experience working with children and young people, including those who are neurodivergent. Work is carried out in line with professional standards, safeguarding guidance and ethical practice.

 

NeuroNurtured commits to:

• Placing the wellbeing of children and young people first

• Listening to and respecting the views of children and families

• Acting promptly if there are concerns about a child’s safety or wellbeing

• Working collaboratively with parents, schools and relevant professionals

• Following local safeguarding procedures where concerns arise.

 

Where a safeguarding concern is identified, NeuroNurtured will share relevant information with appropriate services in line with statutory safeguarding guidance such as Working Together to Safeguard Children.

NeuroNurtured maintains:

• Appropriate professional registration and insurance

• Enhanced DBS clearance

• Ongoing professional development

• Professional supervision where appropriate

• Up to date level 3 safeguarding for all staff

 

Safeguarding responsibilities are taken seriously and form part of everyday practice.
